Posey Needlecase Swap

Good morning!

I had a great 2 days off and worked on getting tablerunners done for the craft show in Sept. I wanted to get 20 done this month but I finished 12 so not bad and I did do a few other crafty items also. I will take some photos and share them this week.

One project I did work on was the Posey Needlecase Swap from over at the Quilting Gallery. Here is the one I completed and mailed off.

I actually made a couple, I think they will be great gifts for Christmas.

And here is the wonderful one I rec'd from Joyce. Thank you it is AWESOME!

Off to work today and then hopefully I can sew a little tonight.

2 Days off!

Good Morning

I have today and Friday off and I am going to sew up a storm. I have already sewn up some snowman heads for ornaments and have 2 tablerunners ready to quilt, but I need to get some thread that will match the green backing.

I am off to goodwill to drop off some clothes and probably look around, a few garage sales and JoAnns for the thread. Should be back sewing around noon.

Hope you are having a great day too!

Friday Sewing!

Good Morning!

Yesterday was Friday Night Sew In and I was at a Workshop with Kim Diehl! How exciting is that! 4 of my friends and I went together and then another good friend came and neither one of knew the other was there, so funny! But it really made for a great day!

Here is a picture of my buddies, working on the project!

Here is what we had to eat....mmmm good, always good when you don't have to cook!

Here is all I got done at the workshop -- but I did learn alot and had a lot of fun so that is really what it is all about ...right? I suppose you have no idea what this is really going to look like, it kinda look likes Duck Feet........

Well....... here is Kim Diehl and the completed project, her completed project! I just love it. It is a cotton background and stems, wich I also have done and then wool applique, I just love it. Can't wait to get it done!

Off to work for me today, lucky for me hubby and I are both off tomorrow! I think we might go to a fair. I can't wait.

The Bachelorette and Jury Duty

Hello!

Well I was very happy with the ending of the bacherlorette last week, I was so proud of Ali to tell Chris that it was Roberto and not string him along. I really did like Chris, but Roberto really has her heart and they both seem to be more realistic than some of the latest couples from that show, so I am hoping that they do stay together. They make a cute couple :)

A few weeks ago, I got the invitation to Jury Duty and had to call last Friday night, well guess what, I had to go today and actually got picked to be on a jury, I arrived at 9:30 today and they finally had the 12 picked for the Jury at 2:30 the case started at 3 and at 3:50 the judge (a very nice lady) told us that she needed some repairs done to the video system in the courtroom, so she was releasing us for the day and that we will meet up again at 10:15 tomorrow to finish up the case and deliberate. I think we could get a lot more done if we started maybe at 8! But the court system doesn't work that that so I am off work for another day.

I have been working on my table runners, I have 4 totally done (bound one today at jury duty!) and I have 1 more with the binding 1/2 on and 4 more tops done. So I am doing well with my goal for the month.
Yesterday I sewed up several tops of tablerunners that I had cut out in January, so now I just have to quilt one each morning and then bind it at night when I watch tv.

Well off to bed

The Bachlorette

Well tonight is the season finale for Ali, who will she pick? Roberto or Chris?
Rumors are flying, she doesn't pick anyone, the one she picks rejects here OH MY -- I can not wait to see what happens. I just love this show and she seems like a nice girl so I hope her the best.

No quilting yesterday I worked and we were in a parade, lots of fun, but I was tired when I got home and then DH and I went out to eat.

Off to quilt a tablerunner before I work today.

August 1st! WOW

Good Morning!

Hard to believe it is August 1st! This year is just flying by.
I am a new member of the Charming Chatter group and we are to post our goals each month....Well it is August 1st and last night I figured out what I need to do this month. My goals are 25 tabletoppers/runners and to work on my connecting corner blocks of my Crossroads quilt.
You may be saying WOW 25 tabletoppers! Well I have a craft show that I pariticpate in the 4th Thursday in September so I need to get a move on inventory for that. I started last night, you see back in January I cut out many of the Star table toppers I make and other table runners and last night I sewed up 4 of them. My goal is to quilt one each morning before work and then bind at night while I watch TV. So it is a very realistic goal. Plus on my days off I can quilt up a few and then I will have a supply. Hopefully my plan will work.
Yesterday I did complete the Cubs tabletopper for my neice and will get it in the mail to her tomorrow morning. I think she will like it. DH says he did not like that I used the bigger print fabric for the star points, because words are cut, well I like it so for today that is all that matters.

Off to work today, I just hate working on Sundays even though it is every other Sunday and today will be a fun day, we are in a parade so that should be a fun time. Not to many more Sundays left, as the garden center will close for the season at the end of October.

Have a great day today

Happy stitches!
