Good Morning or shall I say Merry Christmas

I am part of the Think Christmas Blog Hop!  Today is the first day, so relax you have not missed a beat.  Each day several bloggers will post a photo of a block that they have created and what ever else they would like to share.

Since today is the first day and I had 2 ideas for blocks, I thought why not ...share 2 blocks!  The first one is a log cabin - all ready for Christmas (well mine ins't I still have to do the embroidery on the roof ) but I am pretty happy how it turned out, I might do some more embellishing on it - see the tree in the window!  I love to embellish blocks!

I also have to figure out how to get you a PDF of my block, check back later today and I will get that all done for you!   I hope you like this one!!

My next block is one of my newest Christmas favorites, Gingerbread Boys -- last Christmas I had a small Christmas tree in the dining room, full of gingerbread boys and I thought this block was really easy and turned out cute.  I hope you enjoy this one too!   Both blocks measure 12 inches finished.  Again check back later today  for the pattern.

And last but not least, what is Christmas without  a present????  If you leave a comment and please leave your email address -- you can win this Christmas Mug Rug!  I will draw a name Saturday evening for the mug rug.
I will put a tutorial up later this week for this!

Here are the other blogs to hop to today!  Enjoy!

A day on the farm!

Hello

What a great day!  I am actually off work for 2 days in a row, that has not happened since the end of May -- so it is like a vacation to me!  Today was a Garden Club Field trip to Northwinds Perennial Garden in WI and they had the most adorable pair of Mini Donkeys!  They were so ADORABLE!! Here is the cutest one!  They were so friendly.    I wish I could have just brought them home!

Then after a really nice lunch - my friend Joann wanted me stop by and see her sons piglets - they are 7 weeks old -- see the brown ones, I love them and want one so bad, but Dear Hubby said NO - They are pot bellied pigs so they won't get THAT big!! So I will continue to work on him for a few days -- what do you think -- ADORABLE or what!!

Look at the one on the left, how can you not love that little face and of course the center one is my favorite!
We need a mini farm ---

After the piglets I went over to my friend Kendras and saw her new addition-- BABY DUCKS!!  Sorry I did not get a picture of them, they were just as adorable.....I really need a farm a mini farm.

Off to do some SEWING!! Because tomorrow there are over 60 garage sales in our little town -- so you know what I will be doing!

Pothlder Swap & 4th of July Display

Hi there!

Are you in an area where the temperature is above 100!  We have been in this heat wave all week and I am tired of this heat.  The garden center has been very slow and today we closed at Noon, because it was almost 100 + very humid and I think the same will happen tomorrow.  I love summer and a few days of 100 are nice, but this is crazy, people have lost power in some areas and the pavement is buckling in city - we have tomorrow and then Saturday the temps should be in the 90's (that will seem cool!) and then storms will move in and then it will be in the 80's on Sunday - better get out my winter coat!! LOL

I did get lots done this afternoon - since I was off, got my hair cut, picked up a prescription for Rudy (he has been on tramadol since his episode in back in April and is doing very well:) went to the library and then cleaned up in my sewing room a bit and then worked on a gingerbread embroidery that I started back before last Christmas.

Just thought I would show you some pictures of my Americana display in the living room.  I love Red White and Blue :)

This is my Uncle Sam I finished this past winter, he proudly is hanging by the front door.

And then I thought I better show my potholders and apron I received from Wendy at Prsd4tm2 on a Flickr group I belong to.  I LOVE these colors!  They are perfect for summer -- I just put them away today - can you believe they have been on my kitchen counter for about a month and I enjoyed looking at them everyday,  but they needed to be put away and now they are and I will enjoy using them!  Thank you Wendy!
Other than that I have been getting some kits ready for craft camp -- it is going to be in October this year and I am teaching 2 classes - so I want to get everything done early this time and so far so good, I have 1 project all kitted up and just need to kit up the other project.  Hope to get that done tomorrow afternoon.

Well thanks for stopping by and visiting.

Happy Stitches and Keep Cool!

June Scnibbles and Swaps from Linda

Hello

It is way after midnight tonight, so I can not believe June is over and July has arrived.  It has been a heck of a week, with the high temperatures and working at a garden center, I am hot and tired when I get home and it looks like this coming week is all 90+ days too.

I promised I would show your my swaps I received from Linda - we had gotten each others names in 2 swaps, The Bug Swap and then just a Summer swap.  She really did spoil me, I got some of the cutest Lady Bugs, and I just love them!  A really neat stitched pillow, napkins - cause you know how I love cloth napkins, they are ME!!  Also a package of picnic napkins -- we will us those on the 4th of July - this  year I think we are picnicing!

And this adorable hand made Lady Bug, isn't she the sweetest!  I just love her!!
Thank you Linda so much!! Your the best!!.

Now on to the June Schnibbles...Leap Year - Carrie Nelson gave us this pattern for free - because of being in the Schnibble a month club -- that was so sweeet!  Thank you and Miss Rosie!!!

Without further ado -- here is my June Schnibbles,  Leap Year -- you guessed it I made mine out of 30's!!

I hope you enjoyed stopping by and here I am waving as you check out the Schnibbles Parade!!

Thanks for stopping
Happy Stiches!
